WFLAG is Wimberley’s very own family and ally organization for the LGBTQ community. With a desire to unite people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Queer with families, friends, and supportive businesses, WFLAG aims to strengthen community ties between all in Wimberley and the surrounding areas.
In doing this, WFLAG strives to provide opportunities to educate, support, and develop strong networks for the LGBTQ community in an environment of tolerance, acceptance, and growth. WFLAG is not a religious forum..
Nor is it a political forum either. What does that mean? Though, in an area where sexuality, gender, and identity is always political? It means that WFLAG is not a forum for political brinkmanship and does its best to welcome people of all political stripes, providing they support the mission of WFLAG, which is to further equality, love, community, and respect.
All political sides are welcome here if they are up for those principles. As a 501c3 organisation, WFLAG may not and does not support political candidates. Political posts that pertain to the missions of the group may be made but no posts that advocate for a political candidate running for office will be allowed.
